Teignmouth Seafront By John Hooper

Cycling, walking or taking the bus or train on the journey to and from Dawlish, Teignmouth and the surrounding area includes some of the finest scenery in Britain. Walking couldn’t be much easier or beautiful via the flattish Exe Estuary trail along the seafront part of the South West Coast Path. And with the improved and extended route into town, cycling has become a good option too.

Dawlish and Teignmouth are renowned for having one of the most scenic railway lines in the world, running just metres from the sea it is well worth making the trip by train. For train timetable information, visit www.firstgreatwestern.co.uk

We also have great bus links into the area, visit www.stagecoachbus.com/southwest for timetables and fares.

There is ample parking in Dawlish and Teignmouth town centres, with ample parking available at Dawlish Warren and Shaldon. To find the location of car parks in the area and their prices visit the Teignbridge District Council website.

Roadworks information can be found here: devon.roadworks.org/

Not only that, if you are staying in Torbay or Dartmouth for your holiday, why not visit the area on a boat trip. You could see the wonderful red cliffs, the Parson and Clerk rocks, the exquisite Ness, sail past Labrador Bay, and you may be lucky enough to see dolphins which regularly play in the area.
